Big Bang’s shaky Japan adventure

Big Bang released their first Japanese mini album titled “For the World” on Friday, despite the heated controversy around their latest single “Fool.” According to Korean Netizen Investigators, Big Bang’s “Fool” was a direct rip off from Japanese band Daishi Dance’s “Piano” but master YG doesn’t care because they are not “real” music critics.

And master YG doesn’t seem to care that much about the Japanese teens either. Big Bang’s first Japanese mini album was recorded entirely in English, not Japanese. But he did change names of three members to make it easier to pronounce. In Japan Taeyang will be SOL, Dae Sung, D-Lite and Seung Ri, VI (VICTORY). G-Dragon and Top will maintain their generic stage names.
Master YG’s strategy for Big Bang is an improvement from Se7en’s still pending US debut where all he did was brag about the producers he met, but Big Bang’s entry into Japan doesn’t sound too promising either, especially because the BB boys frequent the hospital and plagiarize without shame. Anyhow, good luck in Japan boys!
