Yoona, model of ‘Solar-C’

Girls’ Generation member Yoona was selected as the new model of the vitamin brand “Solar-C.”
“She’s refreshing and charming and she fits well the image of ‘Solar-C.’ We expect that Yoona will appeal to females in the 10-20 age bracket,” a Solar-C representative said on why the company picked the Girls’ Generation member as its product’s model.
Last February 4, Yoona shot a commercial with a Cinderella concept, showing that a clear skin and an over-all beautiful look is an effect of taking vitamin C, in Apkujeong, Seoul. It is planned to be broadcast in March.
“I’m happy to be chosen as the model of ‘Solar C’ and I enjoyed filming the commercial. In the future, I also want to show a different side of me,” Yoona said.

Epik High, Lee Juck Get Most Nominations for Korean Music Awards, Wednesday February 13, 2008 Korea

Popular boy band 'Epik High' and singer Lee Juck have received the most nominations for the 5th annual Korean Music Awards.The screening committee of this year's awards recently announced its list of candidates for each category. According to the list, Epik High received nominations for six categories, including the Best Album, Best Song, Best Musician, Best Hip Hop Album, Best Hip Hop Song and Netizen's Choice of the Best Musician of the Year for 2007.Lee Juck also received six nominations, including the Best Album and the Best Pop Album of the Year.Other pop artists, including Lee Seung-yeol, Huckleberry Finn and Hollow Jan each received five nominations. Wondergirls, who swept the Korean pop music market last year with their song 'Tell Me' was also nominated for five categories, including 'The Best New Artist' and 'The Netizens' Choice for Best Artist of the Year.'The screening committee, expressing its genuine concern for the future of Korean pop music' said it tried its best to judge as fairly and as objectively as possible.This year's awards ceremony will be held on March 5 at the 600th Anniversary Hall at Sungkyunkwan University.

Jang Dong-gun and Jung Ryu-won_Giordano

U-Know refused fans’ gifts

TVXQ member U-Know, who celebrated his 22nd birthday on February 6, refused the expensive gifts (computer, laptop, synthesizer, digital cameras etc.) his fans sent him.
According to U-Know, he was impressed at his fans’ sincerity and was happy to feel how much they love him. However, he feels that if the gifts were just given to less fortunate people, the gifts would be of more value.
U-Know’s fan club understood his good intentions and will just donate the gifts to those in need.

Eric’s loyalty saved Shinhwa

During OBS’s Watch Show and Watch movie, Kim Dong Wan stated Shinhwa was able to stay together for a decade while other idol groups have disbanded and moved on, because the six gents tried so hard to save the group. Specifically, when Eric was offered a huge contract after he rose to fame, he did not sign it because he wanted to keep the group together.
Kim Dong Wan also expressed his appreciation for SM training days during the interview. He said that as a SM trainee, he learned not only the necessary star skills, but also the persistence and the attitude needed to succeed. I doubt that’s what current SM trainees are thinking that now.
